- You should have the following files:
-
- GOPHER.EXE -- the executable for the Gopher client
- GOPHER.HLP -- the help file for Gopher
- LICENSE.TXT -- the license agreement
- GOPHER.ABS -- a very short description of Gopher
- README.1ST -- this file
-
- To use Gopher:
-
- 1) Ensure that you have IBM OS/2 TCP/IP Version 1.2.1 (or later), and
- that your system is connected to a network with a Gopher server.
-
- 2) If you know the name of the Gopher server to which you'd like to
- connect, type:
-
- GOPHER name-of-server
-
- 3) If you want to connect to the default server (normally IBM's OS/2
- Gopher server), just type:
-
- GOPHER
-
- 4) Extensive online help is available. You must put the GOPHER.HLP
- file into a directory on your HELP path; typically, you would put
- it into the TCP/IP HELP subdirectory.
-
-
-
- This version of Gopher is exactly the same as the version supplied with
- the Bonus Pack in OS/2 Warp; it is made available for those users who
- cannot yet upgrade to OS/2 Warp.
