  4. GOPHER.HLP   -- the help file for Gopher
  5. LICENSE.TXT  -- the license agreement
  6. GOPHER.ABS   -- a very short description of Gopher
  7. README.1ST   -- this file

  9. To use Gopher:
  10.  
  11. 1)  Ensure that you have IBM OS/2 TCP/IP Version 1.2.1 (or later), and
  12.     that your system is connected to a network with a Gopher server.
  13.  
  14. 2)  If you know the name of the Gopher server to which you'd like to
  15.     connect, type:
  16.  
  17.     GOPHER name-of-server
  18.  
  19. 3)  If you want to connect to the default server (normally IBM's OS/2
  20.     Gopher server), just type:
  21.  
  22.     GOPHER
  23.  
  24. 4)  Extensive online help is available.  You must put the GOPHER.HLP
  25.     file into a directory on your HELP path; typically, you would put
  26.     it into the TCP/IP HELP subdirectory.

  30. This version of Gopher is exactly the same as the version supplied with
  31. the Bonus Pack in OS/2 Warp; it is made available for those users who
  32. cannot yet upgrade to OS/2 Warp.
